ABOUT
The REAL Tragik is singer-songwriter, Ken Hylind, bassist and vocalist, Bill Carpenter, drummer, John Smith, and lead guitarist, Mike Giangiulio.
Tragik began in 1997 after their debut single "Pencil Drawings," won a local band radio contest to open for The Black Crowes. From that point on they toured the east coast and released 4 albums. Tragik became a fixture on Philadelphia indie rock and college radio stations where they became a showcasing artist for the 100.3 WPLY "Tuesday Night Music Club," the 2000 Independent Musician Festival, and the Philadelphia Music Conference. In 2002 they performed at the X-Games, The Bethlehem Musikfest, and opened for major label artists like Isle Of Q, and The Alarm. They were a frequent headling band at the famous Elbow Room in New York City and the Grape Street in Philadelphia.
Ken, Bill, John, and Mike are currently working on re-releasing all of their original songs as well as their live recordings, archival footage and photos.
